Picking the Right Colors for Your Kids Bedroom

Color is everything when it comes to decorating your kids bedroom. Once you have decided on a main color scheme, the other design elements will follow from it. But what if they choose shades like black or shocking orange to paint their walls? For teenage kids, they usually prefer darker colors. Their teenage angst prefers colors like black and brown. These hues won’t look good for small rooms; they will only make the area appear even smaller. But if they persist, you can compromise by using it on the walls or flooring and cover it with nice kids area rugs. You can have lighter shades on the walls, such as ice blue or light green, and then you can use the black on the furniture, such as tables and beds.

Your kid will even be able to appreciate the classic pieces as she turns older. Also, it’s best to keep the walls painted with neutral colors as much as possible, so that it would be easier to change designs without having to overhaul the whole color scheme.
